Peng Lu is a well-known recitation artist in China, deeply engaged in the art of spoken-language recitation and the popularization of poetry culture, with a long-standing artistic career based in Xiamen. As the founding president of the Xiamen Recitation Society, he is a representative figure in the field of language performance art in southern Fujian (Minnan).

In 2025 he directed the large-scale poetry stage play "Gathering of Classic Ancient Poems", integrating over 150 ancient poems required memorization in primary and secondary schools, using situational performance, flying-flower-order games, and Minnan-language chanting to popularize guofeng poetry among youth. It premiered publicly at the Xiamen People's Art Theatre, innovating the form of poetry aesthetic education.
Lead artist at major cultural events
He perennially serves as the chief recitation guest for provincial and municipal red recitation, intangible-cultural-heritage, and sinology-themed events; he has taken part in the centenary of the Party artistic gala and the 80th-anniversary Peace Voice recitation gala of the War of Resistance victory; he has conducted cross-provincial cultural exchanges many times, visiting Shanghai and other places for recitation-art and traditional wine-culture joint events, improvising renditions of classical poetry masterpieces.
Poetry creation and audio dissemination
Himself an original poet, his representative work is the modern poem "Spring"; on audio platforms such as Himalaya he runs a personal recitation album containing hundreds of voiced recitation works — essays, modern poems, classical texts, and homeland-themed pieces — popularizing the art of spoken-language audio for the public.
